October 01, 2016

Alexander Kubisheskie (far left), from St. Catherines Ontario, joins the over 100 brothers of the SSPX.

On September 28, Father Patrick Troadec, director of the Holy Curé d'Ars Seminary in Flavigny, gave the cassock to 3 candidates including
Alexander Kubisheskie, from St. Catharines Ontario. One Frenchmen and one from Cameroon were the other canditates. After receiving the cassock and surplice, the applicants recited the act of oblation which introduces them into the novitiate, pledging to prepare worthily for the religious life.

At Flavigny, the formation of the brothers takes place over three years. The first year is that of postulate, which ends with recieving the habit. The second is the novitiate at the end of which the novice made his first vows. Finally, a third year allows the brother to grow in virtue and develop practical knowledge for his future ministry.
