December 2005 - District Superior's Letter

December 01, 2005
A work is pleasing to God not if it's successful in human terms but if it's done according to God's will. Our founder followed God's will. People followed him because they saw that he was doing God's will; we must do the same. So-called independent priests cannot claim to be doing God's will.

We celebrate 100 years since the birth of the Archbishop and 35 years of the SSPX. Was the Archbishop the prelate mentioned by Our Lady of Quito? What are the fruits of Archbishop Lefebvre's fidelity to the truth? Believing in God's charity for us was the motto of Archbishop Lefebvre and it's charity that guides the present relations with Rome.

The Society makes a pilgrimage of reparation to Fatima, Portugal where Our Lady appeared in 1917. Twenty seven Canadians and 65 Americans joined the pilgrimage. We received an ice-cold Novus Ordo welcome. Rome considers the relations with the Society purely as a matter of discipline whereas it's also and more importantly a question of doctrine.

August 2005 - District Superior's Letter

Canadian professor proposes state control over religious doctrine. The bishop's typical silence is not really a cause for wonder since they have promoted liberalism for forty years. They aren't about to use arguments of faith against the lies of liberalism. We have a responsibility to pray for our bishops who have a great responsibility before God.

John Paul II is dead and has been judged by Our Lord Jesus Christ. Those imbued with an ungodly and worldly spirit praise him as John Paul the Great. Let us face the fact that his pontificate was a series of scandals and overall a disaster. Cardinal Ratzinger is now Pope Benedict XVI; we can be cautiously optimistic for the future.

February 2005 - District Superior's Letter

Proposed gay marriage legislation is not a question of equal rights but of destroying the family. This legislation would be very damaging to our country since the family is the foundation of a healthy nation. Get involved and do what you can to prevent this catastrophe.

January 2005 - District Superior's Letter

Was the tsunami an act of God? The reasons for why it was an act of God are discussed herein. The law proposing a redefinition of marriage is not something the people should decide for they are not the ones who determine what's right or wrong.

150th anniversary of the definition of Mary's Immaculate Conception. She was preserved from original sin in view of the merits of Christ and she also simultaneously possessed a plenitude of grace. Her immaculate heart will triumph!

October 2004 - District Superior's Letter

The pilgrimage to the Martyr's Shrine in Midland was a success. It was attended by some priests and 36 seminarians as well as by 300 faithful. Fr. Somerville has been suspended by the Bishop of Toronto for assisting the Society. The Bishop arbitrarily brands the Society as schismatic and heretical without knowing what these terms really mean.

July 2004 - District Superior's Letter

Let us thank God for the recent priestly ordinations. Let us reflect on the fruits of the SSPX founded by Archbishop Lefebvre.
