A total of 59 men were admitted for the Humanities and Spirituality Years in the SSPX's seminaries.

From DICI we are happy to report about the new entrants that have been admitted into the seminaries for the seminary academic year of 2015-2016. This total has increased slightly from the last academic year's admittance as seen in our report of October 2014 which announced 51 new seminarians.

Also mentioned is the number of postulants accepted to begin their religious formation for the brotherhood.

As always, please pray for these men that God willing, they persevere in their vocations, either to the priesthood or religious life.

Society of St. Pius X: New academic year starts at the seminaries in Argentina and Australia

Three postulant brothers also knocked at the door of the seminary, which houses a novitiate of the Brothers of the Society of St. Pius X.

One Australian postulant also knocked at the door of the brothers’ novitiate.

In all, this academic year 2015 finds 46 young men preparing for the priesthood in these two seminaries, together with 18 pre-seminarians in their humanities year.

Counting those who began a new academic year in Autumn 2014 in Flavigny (France), Winona (U.S.A.) and Zaitzkofen (Germany), a total of 59 first-year seminarians were admitted to the seminaries of the Society.

Currently the seminaries of the SSPX are forming 203 seminarians and 40 pre-seminarians, as well as 18 postulant brothers and 6 novices.
