Families come together in a Catholic atmosphere for fun, learning and graces.

The SSPX Family Camp in Dryden, Ontario, held from July 20th to the 24th, was a great event this year. Families came from three provinces to take part, to help out, and to take advantage of these four days filled with fun, learning, and many graces.

Father Boulet from Winnipeg provided Mass every day with a short sermon, and catechism lessons for both the children and the adults. There were also morning prayers, daily rosary, and each day ended with the singing of compline, the beautiful night prayer of the Church.

There were fun activities for everyone. The boys practiced building fires without matches using various techniques, and they built a “Tom Sawyer” raft using logs and some wood pallets. The girls enjoyed fun scavenger hunts, crafts, and water games. Both the boys and the girls went geocaching one afternoon, and they all learned how to make brown scapulars.

The campfires were a big hit as well, and included roasting marshmallows, skits, and fun sing-alongs.

We look forward to more fun in the coming years.
